About Us

Liz Forsyth (Dietitian-Nutritionist, APD) has been practising for the past 9 years both in Australia and the United Kingdom. She completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition & Dietetics) in Brisbane, Australia and has since practised in the many fields of Dietetics including hospital based acute care, community based clinics and private practice. Her experience covers a broad range of medical conditions which benefit from nutritional therapy and dietary modification including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, gastro-intestinal conditions, pre and post surgical recovery, malnutrition, tube feeding, orthopaedic, immune and neurological conditions. In 2001 she also studied through the Australian Institute of Sport, a post-graduate study in Sports Nutrition.

More recently, Liz has pursued her passion for disease prevention and lifestyle modification and begun to specialise in the areas of weight management, sports nutrition and promoting optimum health and physical performance, for which Liz has coined the term 'Lifestyle Nutrition'. Behaviour and lifestyle modification counselling plays a major role in the support offered by our Dietitians, with Liz having completed many hours of furthering her professional development in this area.

Many of us realise the reality of the saying, "we are what we eat". From her knowledge of nutrition related conditions and the complexity of preventing and treating these through diet, Liz has come to acknowledge that often our healthy diet is not enough to prevent chronic disease. Whilst upholding that there is no substitute for a healthy diet she now understands the significance of complementing a healthy diet with a range of added nutrients which may be missing from the diet in adequate or optimum amounts. Dawnlife Dietetics is committed to combating the stressors of modern living and in doing so, preventing disease and optimising health.

Amy Davis (Dietitian – Nutritionist, APD) has been practicing for the past 10 years.  She obtained a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition & Dietetics) in Brisbane, Australia and has since practiced in hospital based acute-care, community based clinics, the private sector and research trials.  Her experience spans many areas of nutrition including diabetes, weight management, cardiovascular disease, malnutrition, maternal and infant nutrition.  Amy has worked as a research dietitian on studies undertaken by the University of Washington (USA), the University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology.  These studies have been investigating the role of diet in prevention of diabetes and other lifestyle related diseases and the promotion of healthy feeding practices amongst infants and toddlers.  Amy’s particular interest in dietetics is in supporting people to achieve healthy lifestyles with practical nutrition solutions.
